

Jacqueline J. Saye, a long-time resident of Colorado Springs, was born in Anderson, Indiana to Ernest and Constance Key. She was married to George W. Saye (deceased) in 1950 in Lompoc, California, then moved to Athens, Georgia where they began their family. In 1962, they moved to Colorado Springs to raise their children. Jacqueline began work for Widefield School District 3 in 1966 as a cook, then onto the District 3 Assistant Food Director. She then moved into teaching the classroom portion of driver’s education at Widefield High School. She eventually retired in 1985.
Jacqueline enjoyed serving her community by volunteering at the Fountain Valley Senior Center where she served on the board of directors. She loved reading, gardening, crafts, and fishing with George.
She is survived by three daughters Beverly Renz, Jeanne Forbes (John), and Connie Hughes (Dennis); seven grandkids, 4 step-granddaughters; and 4 great-grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband (George), a son, Richard (Dick), and a daughter, Patricia.
A Remembrance of Life will be held July 15th, 2023 at the family home between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
