

A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather as well as a devoted patriot and veteran. James Moore passed away on Monday April 24, 2023. James was the youngest of six children born to Coie B Moore and Dorothy (Saunders) Moore in Troy, North Carolina on April 11, 1936.
James is survived by his loving daughter, Kristin (Moore) Piluso and husband Mario Piluso. Daughter-in-Law, Amy Baugh. Five grandchildren, Rory Piluso, Emma (Moore) Paniagua, Samuel Moore, Neena Piluso and Kate Moore. Great Grandchildren, Sophia Paniagua, Xavier Paniagua, Aiden Piluso and Olivia Paniagua. In addition, his brother, Bill Moore and his wife Helen as well as several nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, wife Patricia of sixty years, son James “Jay”, grandson Zachary and several nieces and nephews.
James proudly served in the United States Air Force for twenty-six years. Where he obtain the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.
After retiring from the United States Air Force, he worked fifteen years in government service.
After James retired, he enjoyed woodworking, golfing and taking his classic car to car shows.
A service will be held at Dove Witt located at 6630 S U.S. Hwy 85 87 on Thursday May 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A reception will be following the service from 12:00 to 1:00.
Graveside services will be held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery on May 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM, where James will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Patricia Moore. James will be receiving full Air Force honors to celebrate his life and service.
