Janiece Campbell

Janiece Campbell (Walters), a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024, in Colorado Springs, CO. Born on July 2, 1945, in Jacksonville, FL, Janiece lived a life marked by faith, resilience, and dedication to her family.

Janiece was a cherished figure in her church community, known for her cheerful smile and congenial spirit. Her career in education transportation reflected her passion for nurturing others, and she took great pride in seeing children grow and succeed. She kept in constant contact with her family in Georgia, Florida, and Texas but resided in Colorado Springs surrounded by loved ones.

Janiece is survived by her children; Yvonne Pitt, Dale Watterson, and Edward Watterson; her grandchildren, Angel Cardon, Marc Weir, and Ryan Watterson; and four great grandchildren; as well as her brothers Melvin Walters and Marcellus Walters, and her mother Ruth Atwood; leaving an irrevocable gap in a five generation legacy.

A viewing will be held at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary on September 19, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm. A memorial service will be held at Fountain Valley Christian Church on September 20, 2024 at 10 am to celebrate her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ocular Melanoma Foundation or Valley Christian Church in her memory.

Janiece Campbell will be deeply missed but her transition to heaven will be celebrated by all who knew her.
