Jason Cuppy passed from this world into God’s loving arms on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Jason was born on May 20, 1978, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Robert and Cellie Cuppy. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and worked as a route sales driver for Frito Lay. He married Carol Shock on September 9, 2006. Jason was an avid golfer, proudly hitting not only a hole-in-one but also scoring an albatross. He loved Jesus and loved being a part of the church and ministry to others. Jason enjoyed being outside and climbing 14ers, his favorite being Long’s Peak. He was a lifelong fan of the Denver Broncos. Jason is survived by his wife Carol, his parents Bob and Cellie Cuppy, his sister Cheryl (Chris) Rael, nephew Brandon, nieces Jillian and Sophia, and extended family and friends too numerous to list, but not forgotten. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Restoration Church at 9355 Peaceful Valley Road in Widefield. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to be made in Jason’s name to Restoration Church or Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention.

I remember the first time I met Jason. It was 8th Grade. We did a skit together. He got up and was supposed to say that he knew his ABC's, he said he knew his BVD's. We were friends from that day on.

Our friendship grew closer as I went off to bible college and Jason began growing in his faith. We had many deep conversations about faith and theology. It was exciting to see how much Jason loved the Lord.

Jason was eventually the best man in my wedding.

When Jason introduced me to Carol I could see how much he loved her. It was always fun hanging out with the two of them. It was amazing that God had brought such a wonderful person to be Jason's wife.

Every time I was back in Colorado Jason would make time out of his schedule to hang out and have fun. Even when I didn't let him know I was coming, he would still make time.

Jason was always there for me, with a word of encouragement, a laugh, a listening ear or just a shoulder to cry on. I counted it a privilege to come along side him over the past month; to remind him of his Savior's love for him.

Jason's desire was to show the love of Jesus to those around him. He certainly did that for me.

Bob, Cheryl, Cellie and Carol. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. I know without a doubt that Jason loved each one of you so much. You will be in my thoughts and prayers today as you celebrate Jason's wonderful life. Please know that God will not abandon or forsake you during this difficult time. Reach out to Jesus and let Him comfort you as you grieve the loss your son, brother and husband.

I, like so many of our guys night out poker group, fondly remember Jason and what pleasant memories he added to our experiences and times of camaraderie. Being one of the younger men of our group he added energy and kept us all in line (& awake) through our game nights. His loss saddens us all and we share in the family's and one another’s difficulties at this time. Prayers are, have been and will continue to be offered for comfort, hope and love to all working through the loss of this good man and our friend.
