

Joan married Jack Genna, her loving husband of 65 years. They added three children to their union. Together they enjoyed a military life, moving around to various bases throughout the years before settling in the Colorado Springs area.
Joan worked and retired from Sears, where she was acknowledged for her exceptional service to others. In her retirement she did volunteer work for the Olympic Training Center. She was also an avid bowler, and was active in the Falcon Wanderers, a local walking club. She enjoyed walking many beautiful trails with her friends. Joan was also a doting Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Anthony Fiorentino, and husband Jack Genna.
Joan is survived by her three children: Jack Genna (Deb), Michael Genna, and Susan Sedlak (Ray); Six grandchildren: Jesse, Joseph, Brian, Delaney, Caleigh, and Jacklyn; Five great-grandchildren: Tucker Joe, Jackson, Scarlett, Georgia, and Tripp; Two sisters: Gloria Fiorentino, and Marylou Perry, both of PA, and many special nieces and nephews.
Mom, your example of hard work and love shown to us will be treasured. We will miss you always.
Her family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Lincoln Community Hospital, who took such loving care of our mom and us. Also, to the fantastic folks at Good Samaritan and Aspen Leaf, thank you.
Services will be held at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary in Fountain, CO on Tuesday February 13, 2024 at 11:00 am.
