John Samuel Oliver Jr., husband, brother, father, grandfather, passed from this Earthly life sometime during the night, 15 September 2020, in Widefield, CO. He was born on January 28th, 1953 in Charleston, SC.
John grew up in a large Catholic family and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, graduating in 1969. He went on to vocational training and then into the work force. His first major employment was with the Coca Cola Bottling plant in Charleston for approximately 14 years until it closed and with overtime, he accrued over 18 years credit towards a pension from the company. After that, John began living a free spirit life of adventure with many different jobs including food catering for Continental Air Lines, automotive service for Alamo Car Rental, and Casino Security in the Las Vegas, NV Gaming industry. John even tried the vagabond lifestyle, traveling the country by freight train.
John was preceded in death and, I believe, is now reacquainted with, his father, John Samuel Oliver (Sr.), his mother, Edna Jane (Henson) Oliver, a sister, Carissima Felipa Zita (Oliver) Bailey, infant brothers Sean and James, along with multiple extended family members.
He leaves behind a host of family members who will miss him dearly including, his wife Anne (Kinsey) Oliver and her daughter Danna Bennet, sisters Mary Frances (Oliver) Williams, Maria Frances (Oliver) Murray, Bernadette Carmen Lorna Oliver, Orlanda Yvonne Monique (Oliver) Cunningham and Ita Nicolette Leanora (Oliver) Mcmillan, Brothers Dale Francis Corwyn Oliver, Michael Dion Anton Oliver, and Siegfried Llewelyn Xavier Oliver. along with many extended family members.
John will be cremated and his remains will be returned to his hometown, Charleston, SC with a memorial service to be determined in the summer of 2021 and internment with his parents.
