Joyce Retana

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Jose and Rachel Salazar; her three babies; two granddaughters; and one grandson.

Joyce is survived by her son, David Silva; her daughter, Jessica Pero, and son-in-law, Joseph Pero; her youngest daughter, Olivia Retana, and son-in-law, Leroy Fierro Jr. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Lei'Nani Fierro, Andrew Retana-Fierro, Roman Rodriguez, Tristan, Izek, and Katarina Pero.

Joyce is also survived by her best friend and eldest sister, Irene Salazar, and four younger sisters, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Joyce loved music. She played the piano and the alto saxophone, and she loved to sing. She also loved animals, especially her cats, M&Ms, and Pepsi.

Joyce was a devout Christian who faithfully shared God's Word with anyone who was willing to listen. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family.

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and she will be greatly missed.
