

LaVonne Elaine Ray entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior on July 8, 2026 at the age of 89. She was a Colorado native and resident of Security for 72 years. She married Gene Ray on April 16, 1954. She was born in Colorado Springs, the daughter of Lloyd and Gladys Clark. LaVonne lived a life dedicated to her faith and family. She was a devoted member of Pikes Peak Christian Church for 52 years. She was involved in Sunday School, Bible Study, and volunteering. In her younger years she enjoyed all types of arts and crafts. Later in life, she enjoyed water aerobics at the downtown YMCA and working out at Curves and World Gym. She is survived by her two daughters Tamra (David) Loehr and Shena (Joel) Mackey; two grandchildren Jered and Kara Loehr; three great-grandchildren Kaileigh, Gage, and MacKenzie Loehr; one sister Janet Harper of PA; and many nieces and nephews. LaVonne was preceded in death by her mother, father, four brothers: Abie, Verle, Robert and Lyle, two sisters: Maxine Schneider and Wanda Weaver, her husband of 61 years Gene Ray, and her grandson Kota Mackey.
Memorial services will be at Pikes Peak Christian Church at 11:00am on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

We take comfort in knowing she has heard the words “well done, good and faithful servant”
