Leo Salise Fudalan M.D.
January 13, 1946 – July 28, 2019
Leo Salise Fudalan, M.D., was born in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines on January 13, 1946. He is the youngest among 9 children of Fabio Fudalan, Sr. and Irene Salise Fudalan.
He was a graduate of the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines and Southwestern University Medical School, which is also in Cebu City, Philippines. While he was a Resident Physician at Iligan Medical Center in Iligan City of Lanao Del Norte, Mindanao, Philippines, he met and fell in love with Gloria Lao, the Dean of the hospital’s nursing school. During their courtship, Leo would often serenade her from outside her apartment building. He would play his guitar and sang many songs to her to express his love and affection. They married on December 21, 1975.
Leo, Gloria and their 2 young children, Florence and Leo James, immigrated to Neptune, New Jersey, USA, on September 21, 1981. Leo was a very talented musician, and enjoyed playing the piano, guitar and bass guitar. One of his favorite past times was playing in a band with his family and friends. He also enjoyed carpentry, fishing, playing tennis, swimming in the ocean, riding his bicycle on the boardwalk and traveling the world.
Leo was an active member of the Boholano USA and Carcaranon USA organizations. Leo was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He had strong family values and often put his family’s needs before his own. Leo and Gloria moved to Fountain, Colorado in 2019. His final resting place will be in the Lao Family Mausoleum in Carcar City, Cebu, Philippines.
Leo is survived by wife, Gloria Fudalan; sister, Carmen Fudalan Yecyec and husband Ruben Yecyec Butuan city, Philippines; daughter, Florence Manguiat and son in-law Earl Manguiat Scotch Plains, New Jersey; son, Leo James L. Fudalan and daughter in-Law Jennefer Garcia Fudalan, and Three grandchildren Alexander Manguiat, Isabella Fudalan and Logan Fudalan

Visitation will be held at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 5-8 pm, Funeral Services to be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church Friday, August 2, 2019 visitation time starting from 9:30 am to 10:30 am followed by a Rosary at 10:30 am, then Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am, followed by a reception at the church. An additional Visitation will be held at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 8:00-10:00 am.

Uncle Leo is a good son, a loving husband, a magnificent dad to his son & daughter. A great grandfather to his Apo’s.
He is also a loving youngest brother to his siblings & in-laws, he see to it that all of them are in good shape. From time to time he called via over seas call to keep in touch to everyone.
Me and my wife Daisy considered him as 2nd Dad & he is one of our Ninong in our wedding.
As a Clannish, he always attended the Salo-Salise Clan International-Union & Fudalan Clan Reunion as well.
Being a medical doctor, he joined medical missions to served his kababayans.
As a musician, he loves to sing & play instruments like keyboard & guitars.
We missed him dearly. Farewell uncle/ninong Leo. “ Til we meet again’
