Linda Marie Arnett

Linda Marie Arnett, a beacon of warmth and kindness, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, after a courageous 26-year battle with Parkinson's Disease and Dementia. Born on June 10, 1950, in the close-knit community of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Delbert and Matilda Potts. Her journey on this earth was one of love, laughter, and unfaltering dedication to her family and friends.

Linda's life was a tapestry of rich experiences and heartfelt connections. She was a devoted sister to the late Stanley Potts and is lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings: Pearl Powell, Virgil Potts, June Stibbens, Juanita Apadoca, and DeWilla Dameron. Each sibling holds cherished memories of Linda's compassionate spirit and her ability to bring joy into their lives.

In 1967, Linda embarked on a new chapter, marrying her first husband. Though they would part ways in 1975, destiny smiled upon Linda in 1977 when she found her forever partner in Billy Arnett. Married in 1978, together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and three remarkable daughters: Karen Lynn Ackley (Phillip), Lori Lee Iverson (Greg), and Kathryn Kay Arnett (Michelle). Linda's nurturing touch extended to her grandchildren, Anthony Sharron (Allison), Kyle Ackley, Corey Ackley (Megan), Gaetano Benza, Brianna Castaldo (Tim), and Spencer Iverson, and her cherished great-granddaughters, Keeleigh Sharron, Kalaiya Sharron, Kinsley Castaldo and Millie Ackley, and great-grandson Keegan Sharron who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and generosity. Linda is also survived by her brother-in-law David Arnett and sister-in-law Fran Arnett.

Linda's educational journey took her from Franklin High School, where she graduated in 1968, to Otero Community College in 1977-1978. Her professional life was marked by versatility and dedication, as she excelled in roles ranging from working in nursing homes and military dining halls to being a Tupperware dealer, retail associate, and customer service representative for credit card companies. Her commitment and excellence were recognized through numerous awards, reflecting her steadfast work ethic and compassion for those she served.

A dedicated volunteer, Linda contributed her time and talents to the Laughlin AFB Family Services, earning the Volunteer of the Year award in 1979. Her selfless spirit was evident in every aspect of her life, as she never hesitated to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Linda's ability to transform strangers into friends and friends into family was one of her most remarkable qualities.

Linda had a creative soul, and her love for sewing and crafting brought joy to her family. She took pride in making or modifying clothing, crafting special birthday cakes, and creating holiday treats with her daughters and grandchildren. Her humor was a constant companion, bringing smiles and laughter to all who knew her.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held on July 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Dove-Witt Funeral Home, located at 6630 South U.S. HWY 85/87, Fountain, CO 80817. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person at http://www.dove-witt.com.
