Maria Elisabeth Polk

Maria was born October 25, 1943 to Magdalena Bleistein in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Here she grew up, met and married the love of her life.

She was an amazing military wife who exceeded at taking care of her family, packing up and moving when military orders came through as well as being a loving and devoted wife and mother.

Upon her husband’s retirement from the Army at Ft Carson, Maria worked for Pepsi Bottling Company for 26 years. After retiring, she did what brought her joy, working in the garden, crocheting and the best of all, spending time with her children David (Laurie) Polk, Sandra Edmonds, Patricia Gallob and Stephen (Angela) Polk. Her grandchildren Whitney (Robert) Romero, Spencer (Kayleen Enoka) Allenback, Bryan (Megan) Polk, Weston (Anjelite) Allenback, Ashley (Matthew) Rose, Connor-Zee Gallob, Breanna (Travis) Flowers, Timothy Polk, Aaron (Juliana) Polk, Isabelle Polk, Jasmine-Alexander Polk, Trinity Polk, Corynn McAfee, James McAfee and Samuel McAfee. Her great-grandchildren Abriel Baker, Cam Romero, Ryden Enoka, Violette Polk, Archer Medina, Magdalena Rose, Aurelian Rose, Victoria Flowers, Asher Flowers, Ethan Flowers, Isabella Polk and Bellamy Polk.

She is preceded in death by mother Magdalena Bleistein, husband Willie Polk, son-in-laws Thomas Edmonds and Aaron Gallob and great-grandson Eros Rose.

Maria was the heart and soul of our family and was very loved by all. She will be missed by many. May her light and legacy live forever.
