Mary Jane Newsome

Mary Jane was born in Alamosa CO on October 28th, 1940. She is the oldest of three children to Claude Valdez (Father) and Josephine Archuleta (Mother). Her siblings are Johnnie Valdez (Son) and Bernice Esquibel (Daughter).

She was married to her devoted husband Charles C. Newsome on March 5th, 1960 and gave birth to three children; Vandee, Dunie, and Jogina.

She is preceded in death by her parents (Claude and Josephine), her husband Charles, and Amber (Grand Daughter).

She is survived by her siblings Johnnie and Bernice, and her loving children Vandee, Dunie, and Jogina.

She is also survived by an adopted sister Annette.

Mary Jane has six grandchildren; Jason, Vanessa, Krysta, Jacob, Patrick, and Amber (deceased). Mary Jane also has nine great grandchildren that will miss her dearly.

A visitation for Mary Jane will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. US HWY 85/87, Fountain, CO 80817. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 US-85, Colorado Springs, CO 80911. A catholic funeral mass will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 US-85, Colorado Springs, CO 80911. A committal service will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
