Matthew Howard Bell born February 24th,1982 departed the globe January 11th, 2024. He designated himself “the favorite” child of John and Cindi Bell. He was born in Kentucky, but being a military brat caused him to spend a majority of his childhood in Georgia which led to him becoming a die-hard fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. He was a constant prankster with an obvious tell. His mischievous plans were always foiled by his most noticeable facial feature, his dimples. He was a firm believer that pie was the only dessert that should be served for birthday celebrations. He was an avid collector of 80s and 90s pop culture demonstrated through his wall-to-wall nostalgic collection of POPs and action figures. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Bell Sr, Irene Bell, Shirley Christensen, and Arnold Christensen, along with his uncle Thomas Bell. He is survived by his parents John Bell Jr and Cynthia Bell; his siblings (their spouses) Brandon Bell (Nichole Bell), Alana Shuff (Jonathan Shuff), and Kaitlyn Bell (Ludvig Linnarsson); his niece and nephews Robert Bell, Benjamin Shuff, Temperance Bell, Lucas Shuff, and Leopold Linnarsson. His cat Duncan was his soulmate. His memorial service will be held at Dove-Witt Mortuary, 6630 S. US Hwy 85-87, Fountain, CO 80817 on Saturday, February 17th at 11 am. Please feel free to wear sports attire because Matthew wore a jersey almost every day of his life. Matthew, known as Uncle Mac or Mattey, was a fierce lover of animals, except camels, so in lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made in Matt’s name to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region at https://www.hsppr.org/donate/tribute-giving/. Matthew will live on in our memories because love never dies.
