Olga was born July 11, 1929 to Leo and Agrafina Kostel of Rostow Ukraine Russia. She came to the U.S. from Germany with her very loved husband William Ray Hines U.S. Army 1956 to Ft. Carson. They moved to Security, CO. in 1960 where she lived the rest of her years.
She started working at the Broadmoor Hotel in 1956 and worked her way up to manager and retired from there in 1977 to be with her family.
She had hundreds of friends and acquaintance from her years at the hotel. She was a social butterfly and was loved by everyone who entered her life. She was a Russian interpreter for the Russian Hockey and Figure Skaters in the 60’s . She loved the Broadmoor and what she called the Broadmoor bunch. She also loved Hawaii where her and Bill vacationed.
She had two children Gabriella Naomi and Edward William Hines. Gabriella passed in 1964. Edward survives her and resides in Lake George, CO. so he could be close to his mom. Her husband Bill passed away in 1989.
A vigil will be held at Dove-Witt Mortuary in Fountain, CO on Sunday, Aug. 26th from 4-8 pm. Services will be held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, where she has been a faithful member for over 50 years, 1201 Leta Dr. Security, CO. 11:00 am on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, followed by a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery to be buried alongside her daughter and husband.
