

He graduated from Hanover High School in 1953. He was married to the love of his life, Carol Jean Geist on October 24, 1958 at Central Church of the Nazarene in Colorado Springs. He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961. While serving in Hawaii, their oldest daughter, Brenda was born. After returning to Colorado Springs, their youngest daughter Sheryl was born. Paul was proud of the fact that he was a veteran, and he was very patriotic.
Paul worked for the Colorado Springs Utility Department for several years before working for Transit Mix Concrete Company where he retired after 34 years. After retirement he worked many years for Al Sierra Chevrolet and Adasa Car Auction.
Paul was very active in his community. He was proud of the fact that his place of residence for 49 years on Chisman Lane was ½ mile from where he was born and raised. As a teenager he helped raise money to build the Hanover Community Church where he served on the church board for many years. He was a charter member of the Hanover Volunteer Fire Department and one of his favorite things was to go to the monthly fire department breakfast. He was one of the biggest fans and supporters of any school sports and activities. He also served on the Farmer’s State Bank Advisory Board.
His favorite hobbies included anything with cars or tractors. He loved to go to the stock car races every Saturday night and the Pikes Peak Hill Climb every year.
Paul loved spending time with his family. He never met a stranger. At an early age he had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and serving Him was evident in the way he lived daily.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Macel, brothers Charles, Robert and Chase. He is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Brenda (Tony) Hammer, Sheryl (Randy) Saine, granddaughters Emily (Justin) Golding, Kendra (Matt) Willson and Kelsey Saine, great grandchildren Tressie & Gunner Golding and Titus and Tucker Willson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at Hanover Junior Senior High School. 17050 S Peyton Hwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80928.
