Born on December 22, 1933, in Otho, Iowa. Paul was raised in Fort Dodge, where he developed the strong values of faith, family, hard work, and kindness that guided him throughout his life.
Paul was a faithful Christian man who loved the Lord deeply and carried his faith in Jesus quietly but steadfastly through every season of life. His family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of our Savior.
He was one of fourteen children born to Arthur Joseph “A.J.” Christensen and Veronica Christensen, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Arlene Bonneson, Joan “Jody” Condon, Theresa Harris, Margaret “Margie” Marsh, Mary Fuller, and Patricia Christensen; and by his brothers William “Bill” Christensen and Philip Christensen, and son Philip Christensen.
He is lovingly survived by his sisters Catherine Welchel and Christine Collie, and his brothers Michael Christensen, Terrance “Terry” Christensen, and Carl Christensen.
Paul is survived by sons, Conrad (Lindsey) Christensen, Christopher Christensen, Brandon (Amy) Christensen and his daughter, Rochelle Drinnon.
Paul shared a loving marriage of 59 blessed years and is survived by his wife Beth.
Paul dedicated much of his working life to Continental Airlines, where he worked faithfully for many years. Even later in life, his caring heart continued to shine through as he drove a bus for senior citizens, a role that reflected his compassion, patience, and love for serving others.
Nothing meant more to Paul than his family. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Alana, Nolan, Bridget, Jordyn, Olivia, and Daniel. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He was blessed to also have great grandchildren in his lifetime. He especially loved long walks with his dogs and Bridget, moments that brought him peace and happiness.
Paul enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and found joy in cheering on the Denver Broncos, playing chess, reading, swimming, and spending time outdoors. He had a gentle spirit, quiet wisdom, and a warm heart that made everyone around him feel welcome and loved.
He was a kid at heart and loved to be mischievous with family members and joke around and have fun.
Above all else, Paul will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his devotion to family, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the values he instilled, and the love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A note from Paul's Beloved Wife Beth:
My dear heartfelt husband Paul you played a very important part in my life and I am so lucky and thankful for you. We had uppers and downers and stayed together all these years knowing we can keep going. We did with tears and laughter. We actually made a life and held onto each other for that life.
Love you from the bottom of my Heart!
I love you forever Paul. May you rest in peace until I see you again.❤️🙏❤️
