

Paula was born on July 31, 1930, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a devoted military wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and generosity touched countless lives throughout her 95 years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Irwin T. Bruestle, LTC Army; her daughter, Elaine Copeland; her parents; and her three sisters.
Paula is survived by her daughters, Paula Cadle (Richard) of Arlington, Texas, Denise McAninch of Security, Colorado, and Anita Nesbitt (Steve) of Palmer Lake, Colorado. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kierra and Evan Jewell, Krystal Boudreau, Aaron and Emily Cadle, Brian and Mira Rose, and Zoey Copeland; along with her beloved pride and joy, great-grandchildren: Kayden Jewell, Kody Boudreau, and Katelyn Boudreau.
Paula loved her family and friends more than anything. She was a proud military wife who traveled the world alongside her husband while raising four daughters. A lifelong member of Girl Scouts, she even helped establish Girl Scout programs in Turkey during her time overseas.
She worked for many years at Litton Data Systems and Ampex Data Systems in Colorado Springs and dedicated much of her life to helping others through volunteering at the Fountain Valley Senior Center and Good Shepherd United Methodist Church Food Pantry. She was also known for making countless quilts for homeless children in Colorado Springs.
Paula had many passions throughout her life, including roller skating (Tri-State Champion), sewing, reading, word search books, puzzles, gardening, and creating handmade items for those she loved. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, servant's heart, creativity, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family.
In lieu of flowers, Paula specifically requested that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
Memorial services through Dove-Witt Family Mortuary in Fountain, Colorado, will be Friday, July 17, 2026 at 1pm.
Paula will always be remembered for welcoming everyone into her home, making sure no one left hungry, and turning friends into family the moment they walked through her door.
