Regina Marie Langone, 54, passed away on May 9, 2026. Born September 1, 1971, Regina was a woman remembered for her steady strength, her courage in the face of life’s hardships, and the unmistakable warmth of someone who genuinely loved people and made them feel seen.
Regina grew up and attended school in Scituate, Massachusetts. Her roots were also shaped by family history she carried with pride—her father, Al Lopes, was an immigrant from Cape Verde, and that legacy remained an enduring part of who she was.
In her working life, Regina served others through customer service, and she devoted herself with equal purpose to her roles as a mother and homemaker. She met each responsibility with a direct, clear-eyed honesty—often saying she was an “open book”—and those who knew her best recognized that her straightforwardness was inseparable from her care.
In 2007, Regina married Thomas Langone in Bell County, Texas. She was also the proud mother of her son, Ian Weaver, from a previous marriage. Throughout her life, she valued connection: she loved friends, talking with people, and helping in ways both practical and heartfelt. A fan of mystery and crime genres, she found enjoyment in stories that asked questions and sought the truth—an echo, perhaps, of the candid way she moved through the world.
Regina’s commitment to others extended beyond her immediate circle. She co-founded the Butterfly Nation project, a non-profit created to share and help others living with Graves and Thyroid diseases. Through that work, her bravery and compassion became a source of support to many, reflecting a legacy defined not only by what she endured, but by what she gave.
Regina is survived by her spouse, Thomas A. Langone; her son, Ian J. Weaver; her brothers, Allan (Doreen) Vassuer and Bob Vassuer; and her sisters, Toussaint (Nia) Celestin and Darlene (David) LeBlanc.
She is also remembered with gratitude by long time friends Andi and James, Sam Collins, and Debbi Trundle, who were always there to talk to—steadfast presences in a life built on loyalty and love.
We adore you, love and miss you Gina. Her life touched so many, and her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
