

He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and was an active member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, CO and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Gold Prospectors of Colorado.
He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and his many friends. He will be remembered for his deep love for music – both playing his guitar and singing karaoke.
Philip was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ogilvie Vigil, parents Eddie and Mary Vigil, and siblings Judi Leffler, Melvin Vigil and Gilbert Vigil.
He will be lovingly remembered by sons Eddie (Amie) Vigil, Michael Vigil, grandchildren Angelica, Grace and Joy Vigil, and Daniela Vigil Gomez Piedrahita. He is further survived by siblings Rena Vigil, Jim (Terry) Vigil, Nancy Vigil, cousins Leroy Medina, Elefar Garcia along with many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on June 10th at Dove Witt Mortuary from 2pm to 6pm. Dove Witt is located at 6630 S. US Hwy 85/87, Fountain, CO 80817. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, June 11th preceding a Rosary at 10:30 am and his Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church located at 5354 US Hwy 85, Colorado Springs, CO 80911. A committal service will be held at 1pm at Pikes Peak National Cemetery located at 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925.
