Rhonda was born on February 28, 1954, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to her loving parents, Kenneth and (Clara) Vivian Atwell. She grew up in a close-knit family with her three siblings, Garry, Danny, and Janet. Rhonda was a long-time resident of Security, Colorado, and graduated from Widefield High School. She went on to have a successful career in the electronics industry, serving in various roles throughout the microchip production process.
Rhonda was a devoted mother to her two children, Kenny and Kevin. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, and her home was always open to friends and relatives. She was a loving grandmother and aunt and cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren, grand-dogs, nieces, and nephews.
Rhonda will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength, and independence. She had a contagious smile and a warm heart that touched everyone she met. She was a loyal friend and was always there to offer a listening ear and a helping hand.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rhonda’s memory to Sue’s Gift (suesgift.org), a cancer support group that actively supported her in recent years.
Rhonda touched the lives of so many people and will be forever missed and always remembered.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Dove-Witt.com for the Sharkey family.
