Ronald Joseph Soleau

Ron Soleau of Fountain, Co passed away March 4th, 2024, at the age of 83 and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Ron was born on May 14th, 1940 to Benjamin and Gertrude (Liedel) Soleau in Monroe, Michigan. The family moved to Plymouth, Michigan and Ron graduated from Plymouth high school in 1958. After graduation Ron headed to the military. He spent three years in the US army mostly deployed to Germany. The end of his three years was spent at Fort Carson, CO.

He was honorably discharged from the military and made Colorado Springs his home. Once Ron left the military, he began a career as a carpet installer that spanned a period of 50 years. He married Barbara Neugebauer, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage before his passing. From this union three sons were born, Lance, Jason, and Darrin. In 1969 Ron and Barb moved their family from Colorado Springs to a small farm in Fountain, CO.

Ron is survived by his wife and two children Jason (Carol) and granddaughter Angelle and Darrin and grandsons Ronnie and Sebastian.

Ron was preceded in death by his son Lance, his siblings Glenn and Ed Soleau and his parents.

His celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM March 23rd at the Fountain United Methodist church at 1003 North Santa Fe Ave. PO Box 67, Fountain Co.
