Scott Alan Wasik Sr., 65, passed away on May 14, 2026. Born February 21, 1961, Scott lived a life marked by steady dedication, capable hands, and a deep love for the people who mattered most to him. He will be remembered with respect and gratitude by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Scott grew up and completed elementary school in Melbourne, Florida, and attended middle school and high school in Connecticut. Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the military, beginning a path of service and responsibility that would shape the way he approached every season of life.
Scott served in the United States Army and built a working life defined by perseverance and skill. Over the years, he worked as a tow truck operator and mechanic, an automotive technician, an electrician, and a facilities and maintenance technician. Whatever the task, Scott met it with the same hard-earned competence—reliable, practical, and determined to do things the right way.
Beyond work, Scott found joy in the outdoors—skiing, fishing, hiking, and shed hunting—and he especially treasured time spent with family. His adventurous spirit was matched by a quiet confidence in what his hands could accomplish; there was nothing Scott could not do, and he could build and fix anything.
Scott was also, in so many ways, a teacher in life—someone who shared what he knew, offered guidance, and left a piece of himself in the lessons he passed along. His devotion to his family was constant, and his love will continue to be felt in the lives he helped shape.
Scott is survived by his children: Scott Wasik Jr (Jennifer), Nick Wasik (Tobi), and Jonathan Wasik; his grandsons Julian Wasik and Parker Wasik; his granddaughter Lydia Wasik; his sisters Angie Wasik and Laurie Wasik; and his brother Glen Wasik.
A Committal Service will be held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925, on May 26, 2026, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am.
“Scott will always be in our hearts and forever will be missed. We loved you. Thank you for the memories that we will replay everyday.”
