Victoria “Vicki” Masten, 61, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2025. Born on December 29, 1963, Vicki was best known for embracing everyone she met with unconditional love, acceptance, and laughter.
Vicki was the heart and soul of the family. She knew how to make every trip and get-together a party and could bring even the shyest of people out of their shells. Vicki had an amazing laugh & smile, and her hugs could wash away any woe. She dedicated her life to serving others while instilling the same values of compassion and selflessness in her offspring. She most enjoyed spending quality time with her loved ones, especially when it came to thrifting with her husband & best friend, Curt, and taking the kids to the zoo.
Vicki’s home was always open, often serving as a gathering place for friends, family, and furballs. She had a knack for remembering every birthday, anniversary, and important occasion, never failing to call or send a card or text. Her extended family grew through her love as she never needed someone to be blood related for her to consider them hers. Vicki “adopted” many of her children’s friends over the years, but she always said her true calling was being an Oma to all her grandbabies. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of kindness and devotion to family lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
Vicki is survived by her husband Curt; their children Andi (James) & Kyle (Cassi); her mother Patricia; brother Bill (Debra); and many other loved ones including her grandchildren, cousins, aunt, uncle, nieces & nephews. They find solace in knowing that Vicki is at peace and has joined her sister, Pattie, and father, Patrick “Pops,” in heaven.
A celebration of life will be held at 12PM on October 4th, 2025 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary followed by a reception between 1:30pm & 4pm at the American Legion Post 38, both located in Fountain, CO. The family asks that you wear something tie-dyed, hippie, or rainbow in honor of Vicki & her love for all things bright and colorful. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo as it was one of Vicki’s favorite places to be.
