Dear Pat,
I was so shocked and sad to read the letter you sent explaining Vince's passing. Looking at the pictures you posted it is clear to see he lived a happy, fulfilled life.
I remember growing up with Vince and all the varity of things I learned from both him and Remo. He was always kind, and understanding as he taught me to play chess and numberous card and board games.
His kindness was equally matched by his vast wisdom on a multitude of subjects.
Those memories of our family in Detroit will live on in my mind and heart forever.

My memory of Vince is with a baby in arms as he would fill in for Pat as she ran errands.  He was always willing to pitch in and do what he could.  So many years of fond memories and you raised my four kids.  What a blessing to us all.  God bless you all.

Dear Pat and kids,
As someone already said, this has been very difficult to wrap our heads around.  Your family has been such a special part of our lives for many years and, Pat, your blessedness during this time has been so beautiful to witness.  You are truly a woman of great faith.
You asked for people to share their memories of Vince and Tom and I spent a good part of our drive to Reno remembering Vince and sharing stories.  Here are just a couple that really stand out for me.
Vince was always ready to meet with me and endure my questions about God - and I do mean endure.  He had great, great patience that made those times of spiritual dryness easier to bear.  
One of my favorite Easter memories was having a couple of people over - Vince being one - on Good Friday to watch "The Passion of the Christ".  We keep stopping the movie to talk, read scripture and wonder together. Vince, as usual, brought his biblical and historical knowledge, but also his heart as we all cried and marveled at what our Lord did. It was certainly a very holy time that I'll treasure forever.
My last memory of Vince was when we visited you guys in the Springs and you took us to the Garden of the Gods.  It was a dream come true for me to walk with an actual geologist at that great site and get to ask all the questions I wanted to.  
Pat, I want to thank you for sharing him with all of us for so long and give thanks to God for strengthening you and the kids during this time.  We love you all.

Dear Pat and all the family, I really don't remember when I was blessed to meet various members of the Del Greco family but I want to share something from my experience serving on pastoral council with Vince about twenty years ago.  If you remember an E.F. Hutton commercial, you will appreciate this. Dick Matgen was our pastor at the time and he always made sure everyone got a chance to voice opinions at the meetings. Vince was often reserved and so Dick would eventually say "and Vince, what do you think?"  and I swear, it was just like the E.F. Hutton commercial as everyone leaned toward Vince to hear his words of wisdom. Makes me smile to this day, as do many other memories of Vince from RCIA, lectoring, watching him with his kids and grandkids (and all the other kids!).  I've missed him greatly since the family moved to Colorado. The thought of his experiencing the Lord in heaven is just plain awesome!  May all the wisdom he shared with so many of us pass on and on and on to many more!  Pray for us, Vince!

We meet Vince while we were going through RCIA at St. Raymond in 1998. He was such a warm, friendly, kind man. Whenever we had a question he was there with an answer, a kind word, or how to figure it out. He was very understanding & willing to listen. We will miss him, but we know that he is at God's side watching over us all!

Dear Pat & Family, We still can't get our heads around the passing of Vince. He was a very special angel who was there for our family when our son Paul was in critical condition in 2000. Our son had fallen 200 ft from a rope swing when he was 18years old onto his head and suffered a traumatic brain injury and was in john Muir's NSICU for 35 days. Vince came to the hospital with other church members to pray around our sons bed. While still in a coma, Pauls face looked distressed but after Vince spoke in tongues & everyone prayed Pauls face changed to a look of peace. We were blessed with a miracle. We were told he had a 1% chance of living, but we kept positive and were blessed to have so much support, especially from Vince, and our son is close to 100%. Dear Pat,
May the God of Peace send his Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to console you in your time of grief. Vince was a good man, striving for holiness in this broken world. We pray he will find happiness and rest with his Redeemer and Savior and that you may be united with him in heaven forever. May he sing sweet praises to God with all the angels and Saints, and receive the beautiful greeting, "Well done, good and faithful servant"!

Dearest Pat, Wish we could all be there to support you, but know that we are all around you in spirit holding you up with our love.  I'm not too happy with God either, I will have a talk with him on your behalf.  We love you darling, please keep us close to you , we are there.
