

Wilbur was born on September 07, 1956, to the late Jimmy Frank Williams Sr. and Marian Williams Holsey. He was the fourth of eight children - all residing near and far.
A native of Milledgeville, Georgia, Wilbur graduated from Baldwin County High School in 1974. Upon his graduation, he worked as a Health Service Technician with Central State Hospital and also performed masonry work for a local construction company. He enlisted with the United States Army in 1975. Wilbur's military honors and acknowledgements include the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon (ASR), Expert Soldier Badge, and the Army Pistol Qualification Bar. He medically retired as a Sergeant First Class (SFC) in 1989. Wilbur later joined the Colorado Spring Street Division as a maintenance worker from 1996 until 2022, earning him a well deserved 2nd retirement.
Wilbur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and faithful friend to many. His love for family, friends, antique cars and street rods were undoubtedly his greatest passions. He was a car enthusiast and restorationist, a canine cynophilist and an avid reader. His humor and jovial laughter were profound and it created a sense of comfort and well-being - standing still for those moments that felt timeless. Wilbur graced his family and friends with timeless lectures and encouraged loved ones to explore life's journey.
Wilbur's departed this life leaving his cherished memories to his wife of 42 years, Alicia "Ann" Love Williams; His children, Travis (Colleen Marie) Williams of Carlisle, PA, Jonathan Williams of Hinton IA, and Kemedrick Adside of Gray, Ga. Brother, Jimmie F. Williams Jr (Eva Mae) Williams of Augusta, Ga., Marilyn Simmons, Eleanor Phelps, Cynthia Ransom, Jacqueline Curry, Sherry (Charlie) Shoats all of Milledgeville, Ga., Sophia Green, Fayetteville, NC. 6 grandchildren, Ayanna, Zanaiya, Zalinah, Ezekiel, Cody and Sage. A host of uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members.
