I'm drew bellinger . I was offered a scholership  to the opera program by  Mr. Mckinley in 1978. I remember his kindness. I was saddened to hear.

I worked for George McKinley for many years as the set designer for Temple Opera. I never met a man more dedicated to his job, yet able to balance his personal life and his business life so perfectly. His students loved him and he produced opera productions that got rave reviews from the critics. It was a joy to work with him.

Mr. McKinley was my voice teacher and friend at Temple University College of Music and gave me my first opportunity managing an opera company at Temple with a production of Falstaff, as well as many other opportunities which served me well in my later concert business.  His teaching and coaching in voice gave me a very good foundation which still serves me well to this day.  He was  always upbeat, had a great sense of humor and optimistic and so generous with his time and knowledge and helpful in so many ways to me and so many others and will long be remembered by all.
