

She was born in Vale Tennessee in 1929 to the late Clyde H. and Ocia (Lindsey) Lowrance.
Ada Celene was named after her two grandmothers Ada and Selena. She attended Central High School in Bruceton, TN and married Wayne C. Butler (deceased). After living in Hollow Rock, TN, they moved to McKensie, TN where they had their only daughter in 1952. In 1959 they moved to Jackson, TN where Mrs. Butler resided for 64 years until she relocated to Fredericksburg, VA to be closer to her family. While living in Jackson, TN she had numerous friends and was part of a ladies’ social group called “The Hobby Club”. Celene worked for Sears and retired from there after 25 years. She loved her profession and called her co-workers her “Sears Family”. Celene’s second marriage to William Cunningham (deceased) was actually held in the Sears store in Jackson, TN. Mrs. Butler was very artistic and a great seamstress. She dearly loved gardening and always maintained a beautiful flower garden. She lived her life in full bloom and always advised others to “live it up”.

Survivors include her daughter Deborah L. Hanna and husband Brad; three grandchildren: Stephanie Torres and husband Daniel, Erin Hanna, and Sean Blake Hanna and wife Jamie.
An inurnment will take place at Marlboro Cemetery in Vale Tennessee at a later date.
