Obituary of Aldrin Jair Castillo Ochoa
Aldrin Jair Castillo Ochoa, aka LaTortugaNinja to the gaming world, found his peace early Friday morning of June 11, 2021. Aldrin, a young 24 year old, had been battling cancer for 6 years. It was pointed out in the moment of his passing that Aldrin wore the infamous smirk upon his face even as he left to start his new journey. Those of you who know Aldrin know to which smirk was referenced. God broke the mold after the birth of this amazing and selfless individual. Aldrin was born February 14, 1997 to father Marco Castillo and mother, Hortencia Ochoa in Ciudad Altamirano, Mexico. He graced the U.S. with his presence at the young age of four as his family settled in Spotsylvania County, Va. Being born the middle child, Aldrin had the dependable task and challenge of taking his older brother, Ayrton’s Life lessons and guidance, sometimes referred to as shenanigans, and putting them into a softer more delicate form of lesson for his younger sister Mildred. It can be said that he loved both dearly. Aldrin can often be found helping both staff and patients as a certified nursing assistant at Mary Washington Hospital on four north. Looking back at Aldrin‘s birth date one would have to wonder if Cupid himself played a role in many of Aldrin‘s traits and characteristics. Often referred to as charming, selfless, loving, and loyal, Aldrin was the poster person for irreplaceable. Loved by his family and friends and liked by anyone who knew him, he loved to laugh and to make others laugh. Aldrin enjoyed spending quality time with his family watching movies, dinning out, or some spontaneous outing. He was truly a family person. He enjoyed boofin with the boys, playing video games, and held numerous titles such as; partner in crime, my homie, La Tort, and fellow skinny boy. Aldrin could also be found with no shame, hanging out with the girls, cutting their hair, playing games, or doing some kind of sports activity but guaranteed often you could find Aldrin doing any of the above with the love of his life Brittany. She could tell you more about his stubborn side, how he hated to lose, all his goofy moments, but more so how endlessly interesting she found him. Aldrin lived his life with love and he lived it to the fullest in everything he did. Whether it was playing FIFA while rocking the Barcelona jersey, hanging out with his favorite little person, Bella Castillo, or just chilling with Ralph the dog. Aldrin would be spreading that contagious smile and addictive happiness. This is the Aldrin that we love and will remember. This is the Aldrin that we will hold in our hearts. And this is the Aldrin that we will share through us with others that weren’t as lucky as we were to know such an amazing person. So please join the family as they remember Aldrin as he lived through a memorial and viewing on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Mullins and Thompson’s Funeral Home in Fredericksburg Va. from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
