She was born in Huntington, WV on January 11, 1951, to Fred and Patsy Stallard Rogers. Shortly after her birth her family moved to Fredericksburg, VA where she was raised and lived the majority of her life.
She was a 1969 graduate of James Monroe High School and a 1974 graduate of Mary Washington College. She married Michael William Martin on May 20, 1977, in Springfield, VA. She worked her entire career in various positions within the court systems of Fairfax County, VA, Stafford County, VA and Spotsylvania County, VA.
Ann was very outgoing, social, and unbelievably kindhearted. She was a devoted Mother to her two sons. She loved live music and had a passion for beach music and shag dancing. She was an active member of the Battlefield Boogie Club, a social dance club dedicated to the preservation and promotion of beach music and shag dancing. Ann was a long-time attendee of the Society of Stranders (SOS) events held every year in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Ryan Martin (Lorrie) of Fredericksburg, VA and Kyle Rogers Martin (Yaslin) of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandson, Andrew Martin; her mother-in-law, Judy Beck Martin of Powell, OH; her sisters, Pat Rogers and Becky Rogers Voslow (Mike), both of McLean, VA; her niece, Olivia Voslow and nephews, Harrison and Hunter Voslow and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Patsy Stallard Rogers; her husband Michael William Martin and her sister Susie Rogers Battie.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
A celebration of life will follow at Brock’s Riverside Grill from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Rappahannock Room, 503 Sophia Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
