Anna Maria Betancourt

Anna Betancourt was the pillar of her family, known for her humor, warmth and heart.

Anna was born on December 4th, 1934 in Ciales, Puerto Rico. She was the first born to Emilia and Eladio Robles. She moved with her family to New York as a young child. That is where she met the love of life Eligio Betancourt. They were married on April 26th, 1958 and together raised three children Eligio Jr., Richard and Lisa. Anna worked several jobs and retired at the age of 84.

Anna went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 surrounded by family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eligio; parents, Eladio and Emilia; brothers, George and Benjamin; sisters, Antonia and Carmen; and her great-granddaughter, Aurora.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children and spouses, Eligio Jr. (Shon), Richard (Ada) and Lisa(Randy); sister, Gloria Robles; and brother, Jose Robles; nine grandchildren, David, Carlos, Ashley, Duillaume, DaJour, Allegra, Bianca, Christopher and Dakota; eighteen great-grandchildren, Hailey, Kaliyah, Heaven, Isaiah, Reyse, Ayden, Harper, Rome, Nicolas, Reign, Remedy, Ailiana, Antonio, Lorenzo , Kimora, DaJour Jr., Kailani and Dante.

A celebration of life will be held at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at 5:00pm. Visitation will be Saturday, from 3:00-5:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
