He was born on September 26, 1943 in Woodbridge, Va to the late Benjamin Ambler Tolson Jr and Shirley Shelton Tolson.
Bennie was a very accomplished heavy equipment operator and a commercial fisherman. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle and son.
He is survived by his son Benjamin Lee Tolson Jr and his wife Elizabeth Ashley Tolson, two grandchildren Shelton (Little Bit) Ambler Tolson and Shelby (Pretty Girl) Grayce Tolson, which he adored them both very much. Additionally, he is survived by two sisters Dolly Pearson and Linda Roberts, one brother Johnny Tolson and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Elizabeth Tolson and brother George Tolson.
Services will be with family and close friends at gravesite on a later date.
