Brenda Joyce Parchment

Born and raised in Jamaica, our fierce Brenda Joyce was a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and love. With courage and determination, she left Jamaica as a young mother and made her way to the United States to build a life for herself and continue raising and growing her family. As a dedicated mother of six children, she leaves behind five loving children, six prized grandchildren, and five precious great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love, wisdom, and strength.

Brenda Joyce was known for her generosity, opening both her home and her heart to family and friends. She took great pride in her ability to care for herself and making her home a gathering place filled with good food, laughter, safety and annual blossoming gardens.

She had a personality that can never be forgotten. She was dramatic in the best way, quick with a cheeky joke. We can only imagine that Heaven has prepared a special stage for her, with the curtains drawn and the spotlight waiting, because she was truly one of a kind.

Though our hearts are heavy, we give thanks for a life well lived. We will remember her vibrant personality, her strength, her generosity, her sense of humor, her stubbornness, her love, and the unmistakable spirit that made her who she was-- a forever inspiration for our lives.

As Jamaicans say, "Walk good." Your work here is done, your race is run, and your legacy will live on through the generations you leave behind and every sacrifice she made for those she loved.

Although she has closed her eyes on earth; our Holy Father has awakened her in heaven.

She is forever loved… forever remembered.
