Candido was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Virginia 19 years ago. He enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family and friends playing pool, corn hole or having a cookout and bringing everyone together. Candido’s favorite pastimes were spending bright sunny days at the beach with his grandsons, riding his Harley Davidson on the open road, and having his dream classic cars. Candido had an outgoing personality, with a quick wit, easily using jokes and one-liners that would erupt in laughter in those around him. This special characteristic resulted in being loved by many and created many life-long friendships.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria; two daughters, Aracelis Valentin and Ana Alicia Valentin; parents, Candido and Ana Valentin; three sisters, Maria Valentin, Elizabeth Hepner, and Virginia Nazario; three grandsons Isaiah, Andre and Issac; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 5, 2020 from 6-8:00 pm with a prayer service starting at 6:00 pm. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to American Heart Association.
