He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, and his four children: Dennis (Sarah),Christina (Brian), Sandra, and Kyle. He also leaves behinds his four grandchildren: Evelyn, Charlotte, Amelia, and Paige. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Estep and Mary Lillian Clare, and his step-son, Michael.
Carl began his career in the FBI. Then worked as protection for the Jordanian Royal Family. And then as Special Agent for NCIS for over 20 years until retirement. While with NCIS, he worked many interesting and critical cases. He enjoyed every moment of it.
He loved golfing, Disney World, water balloon fights, watching sports, baseball, and the Redskins. He loved to talk to people and talk about how proud he was of his children. He would always check in with friends and family to see how they were even if it was just a quick 5 minute call or text. When he asked for coffee, it would actually be a cream drink with a splash of coffee.
He was a stubborn man who exceeded all of life’s expectations, as well as his own.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Mary Washington Hospice.
A celebration of life will be held from 6pm-8pm on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg chapel.
