

Carol Tait Buck, born December 17, 1925, in Evanston, IL, passed away in her sleep September 4, 2012, at the age of 86. Mrs. Buck raised four children with Arnold, her husband of 64 years. After starting the family in Illinois, the Bucks lived in Ohio, New York, Korea, Spain and Virginia. She was the pacemaker that kept the family together and moving forward. An exceptional organizer, Mrs. Buck, worked during WWII at Fort Sheridan, IL, and for an antiques dealer in East Aurora, NY. She volunteered at Cross Roads Church food pantry in Monroeville, PA, for almost 10 years and later at the LOW Lions & Lioness Wilderness Food Pantry in Locust Grove, VA. She is survived by two sons, James and Peter, and two daughters, Nancy and Mary. Arnold and Carol have eight grandchildren: Marguerite Holland, Lea Buck, Buck Schiff, Alyson Buck, Ryan Buck, Caitlin Buck, Eleni Martinez and Olivia Martinez.
