Carol Lee Gathof

Carol Lee Gathof, age 80, of Fredericksburg, Virginia went home to be with her Savior on Friday, January 13, 2023. Carol was born on December 7, 1942 in Washington D.C. to Evelyn Delores Norfolk and Lawrence Rexford Beamer.

Carol was a retired office manager/ bookkeeper where she worked with her son-in-law, Curtis, for 16 years at Total Roof Supply Inc.

Carol treasured her family more than anything. She always treated everyone she met with kindness and love, whether it was family, friend, or a complete stranger. Before we knew it, those strangers became family.

Carol met the lover her life, William “Bill” Gathof while he was stationed at Andrew’s Air Force Base while in the Navy. They were married on June 29, 1963 and were blessed with almost 48 years of marriage.

Carol is survived by her children; Kimberly Moss (Curtis), William Gathof (Rachel), Douglas Gathof (Alex); grandchildren, C.J. (Alisa), Kolleen (Joe), Amanda (Don), Sara (Greg), Steven, Alexa, Tyler, Joycelyn, Bella, Olivia; brother, Charles Beamer (Andy); half-brother, Craig Beamer; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We will cherish a lifetime of memories until we are together again.
