She is survived by her loving husband, Benjamin King; two sons, Robert Chamberlin King and Carl Henry King; daughter Virginia Sue King Sayer and husband Ronald David Jr.; granddaughter Elizabeth Luise Sayer; and a brother Bruce Hinton Ganger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Eugene Ganger and Maxine Elliott (Hinton) Ganger.
She had a great love of history and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Colonial Dames.
A graveside service will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 12:00 pm, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Fredericksburg SPCA.
