I'm so sorry to learn of Billy's passing. We were childhood buddies and classmates at Salem Elementary school for 5 years while my family lived next door to the Hawkins/Cox family on the Sperryville Pike. We did a lot of things together (on a daily basis) and also got into a lot of mischief during our time together! My family moved back to Amissville after I completed the 5th grade, so I didn't see Billy again until I began attending Culpeper High for my sophomore, junior, and senior years. Strangely, we never renewed, in high school, that close relationship we had in elementary school (probably because of the elapsed time and the distance factors). We lost touch after graduating high school; however, I did call him a few times after we both retired and chatted with him about those "good ol' days." Billy was a very nice guy, and I cherish the fond memories of our childhood time together. My sincere condolences to his wife and extended family.

Joy, Pam, & Scott - I remember "Billy" from long ago - never met his wife Catherine but I wish to extend my sympathy to all of you. Billy was a kind and gentle person that my husband and I both enjoyed knowing over the years. RIP my friend. Maude Taylor
