He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 66 years, Margaret; son, Daryl Ott of Fredericksburg, VA; brother, William Ott; and sister Edna Mae Hathorn, both of Aurora, CO; five grandchildren, Joshue, Jessica, Haley, Rebecca, and Leslie; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Ott.
He was a visual artist as well as a professor of art. His works have been shown in Museums and galleries in Colorado and Virginia.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11:00 at Chancellors Village in Fredericksburg, VA.
