I love u so much uncle David. You are my favorite uncle. We had so many good, funny memories together. You loved Harmony so much. The last time we saw you, you didn’t want to leave her. I wish I would have got pics of you and Harmony together. And I’m so glad you got to spend a few nights with Harmony and I. We loved it so much and I’m so glad we got that time together. I love you so much. I know you are with my dad and my mom watching over us. Please tell my mom and dad how beautiful, smart and wonderful my daughters are. I know you weren’t able to meet Nevaeh but you know about her. Uncle David ever time I think of you you always have a smile on your face. I’ve never seen you mad ever. You were always happy and smiling always. I miss you so much. All I can think about when we talked a few weeks ago was me asking when we could see each other again. Since you had such a busy work schedule and so do I. And you told me soon Kayla don’t worry and you told me how much you loved me and how proud you were of me. That meant so much to me. I could talk to you about anything. You weren’t only my uncle but my best friend. I love you and we will see each other again. Watch over me and my family. My dad, mom, grandma, grandpa and you are my Angels❤️

Dave grew up in the same neighborhood as I did. He actually grew up with my older brother (Johnny Smith). He was 10 years older than me but we got very tight in my early 20s. I lived in Dave's townhouse out in Ashburn for a period of time as well. We would go out to Laurel Horse Track and bet on the horses together and play poker together as well. We went to a NASCAR race in Richmond together (along with his brother Kevin) one weekend and rented a big RV for the trip. Dave was a kindhearted person with a wonderful smile and sense of humor. I will always hold on to the memories we shared together. He will be missed. My condolences go out to his sister Julie, his older brother, and the rest of his family and friends. God bless you Dave! See you when I get there my "friend"......
