Diane was born in Rochester, New York to Gordon and June (Beattie) Dank. She graduated from Mercy High School, went to Secretarial school, and then went to work for Kodak. She married her Husband, and eternal partner in life, William N. Wilson on September 12th, 1970. Together, they raised 3 sons. Tim, Bill, and Kevin. She later worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice System (DOJ) for the state of Virginia. Once retired, she volunteered for many years at Mary Washington Hospital, and as a Eucharistic Minister at both Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church and St. Jude Catholic Church. Diane was the best type of friend that you could ask for. She was always there to drive someone to an appointment, grab a bite to eat, play card games, or just sit and talk. She loved cards; she taught her grandchildren “the old lady” card games. Diane once swam across Honeoye Lake, just to prove that she could do it. She taught all 3 of her sons how to swim at an early age. With the help of her husband, Diane pushed all 3 boys to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts. Diane aided as the treasurer of the troop. She also saved every penny that her and Bill ever earned to make sure her kids did not have to pay for college. Diane is preceded in her death by her husband 1st Sgt. William N. Wilson (USMC), and her sister Jeanie Coleman. Diane is survived by her two brothers John, and his wife Geri Dank of Colorado, Robert, and his wife Alison of New York, her three sons, Tim, and his wife Stacey of Fredericksburg VA, Bill, and his wife Karen of Ellicott City, MD, lastly, Kevin, and his wife Nikki of Lake Ridge VA.
