Donna Astor McIntyre

Born: July 1, 1949 Died: December 30, 2025

Donna’s journey was filled with compassion, dedication, and love. She married Lieutenant Walter Rutledge McIntyre, U.S.N., on August 13, 1983, forging a lifelong partnership built on respect and devotion. Earning her Master’s in Speech Pathology from Memphis State University in 1973, Donna touched countless lives as both a pediatric and geriatric speech pathologist across several states until 1989, bringing hope and care to those she served.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Walter Rutledge McIntyre, her caring sister-in-law Julia Pearl McIntyre Begley, and her cherished niece Theresa Irene Begley Miller, nephew James Patrick Begley, Jr., and niece Lori K. Kintsler McIntyre, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering support and gentle spirit.

Donna’s heart was drawn to helping others, and she held deep admiration for the following organizations. In her memory and in celebration of her giving spirit, her family kindly requests that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to these causes so dear to Donna:

A visitation will be held at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, located at 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22401. The visitation is scheduled for January 10, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
