Earl served in the US Army for 31 years and retired as a Warrant Officer. His service included many trips to Greenland and he also served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars where he was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Purple Heart, and Bronze Star.
Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie and his parents. Left to cherish his memories are his companion, Virginia Scott, his son, Jeff Davis (Jeanine); daughter, Diana Martin (Mike); five grandchildren, Dawn, Kelly (Dave), Kristine, Joshua, and Jeff as well as six great grandchildren, Cole, Cody, Blake, Dylan, Sarah, and Mackynzie. He also leaves behind 4 brothers and 6 sisters in Rogersville, Tennessee.
Earl's family will receive family and friends at 11 am, January 28 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home, 1621 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. A grave side service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
