He was born August 14th 1930 in King George Country where he attended schools and then Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Edward was very active in the King George County Farm Bureau, The Virginia Soybean Association and The Fredericksburg Livestock Market. He was selected as Virginia's Outstanding Young Farmer in 1965. Edward owned and operated Farley Vale Farm in King George Virginia since 1957. He raised beef cattle, corn, soybeans and wheat.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years Mary Weber Stoner Taylor and one son Letcher Dandridge Taylor, two daughters Weber Jane Taylor and Elizabeth Littlepage Taylor Blanton. He had five grandchildren, William Stoner Smith, David Scott Smith, Anna Littlepage Joseph, Elizabeth Hope Joseph Hill, and Luke Edward Joseph. Edward had seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
