With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Eileen Marie Tedrow (née Murphy) on May 2, 2025, at the age of 84. Eileen was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a treasured friend whose warmth and kindness left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
Born September 22, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio, the third of three children to Joseph and Eleanor Murphy.
She graduated from West High in 1958. Eileen lived a life defined by love, resilience, and generosity. She was the proud mother of three sons: John M. Kinzer, Kenneth Kinzer (Beverly), and the late Robert Kinzer. She was also a loving grandmother to Sean, Grace, and Declan, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James Murphy and sister Patricia Parkinson.
Eileen settled in Virginia and most recently in Fredericksburg where she lived for the past 20 years. Eileen dedicated many years of her career to the Department of the Navy, where she worked with diligence and integrity. Her commitment to excellence and service was reflected in her professionalism, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout her tenure.
Services for Eileen will be held at a later date.
Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of those she left behind. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
