Elizabeth Ann Hutchinson

On Nov. 10, 2011, Elizabeth Ann Hutchinson, 64, was released from her earthly bonds to join her mother and father, Elizabeth Ivy Denison and William Lithgo Edwards, in heaven after a long battle with cancer.

During her last weeks, Ann was cared for unselfishly around the clock by her sisters Janice Carol and Mary Beth, her daughter-in-law Robin, and sons William and David; staff at the palliative care unit at Mary Washington Hospital; the wonderful folks at Hughes Home; Colleen Stiles at Woodmont Healthcare Center; and Beverly and Angel of Hospice Care of Virginia.

Ann is survived by her two sons, William Arthur and David Paul Hutchinson and their wives; and three grandchildren, Leah, Nicholas and Gabe. She is also survived by several other brothers and sisters; her maternal aunts, Emily Pullin and Dot McMahan; and many cousins, along with her friends and co-workers at Geico.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg. A short memorial service will follow at 7:30.

A private graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov. 16, at National Memorial Cemetery, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church.
