Elizabeth Marie Scutt

Betty was born in upstate New York on January 17, 1926 and grew up in Stamford, NY.

She was married to George Albert Scutt for over 54 years until his death in March 2003. She is survived by her four children, Jane E. Crawford (husband Terry)of Mechanicsville, VA, Rev. George W. Scutt (wife Dianne) of Colonial Beach, VA, Garry A. Scutt (wife Susan) of Alexandria, VA, Lisa M. Bailey (husband Patrick) of Lorton, VA; eight grandchildren, Christopher Feathers, Jonathan Scutt, Jamie Scutt (Heather), Aimee Scutt, Andrew Scutt (Mirabella), Lauren Shepherd (Ryan), Brooke Scutt, Shannon Karuzis (Koby); four great-grandchildren Lucas Holden, Madison Scutt, Decker Scutt, and Lillian Shepherd, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty lived in Alexandria, VA for 73 years where she was a long standing member of Groveton Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest at Mt Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, VA on Friday, March 26 at 2:30pm after a brief service conducted by Rev. C. Philip Bush.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her name.
