He was born on April 11, 1932 in New York to the late Joseph and Rose (Tortorici) Merendini.
Rick's passion, his hobby, his world was his late wife Laura Frances Cooper Merendini. He lived for her. Rick was a shopper; he loved it and lived for a good bargain. Rick and his wife would sit at the table on Sunday mornings drinking their coffee and reading the Washington Post. He would pass the sale ads to her; she would look them over and circle all the things she liked. He would get dressed and head out to the stores. If a blouse came in four colors, she would get all four.
Rick was her Prince Charming, she was in the tower waiting to be rescued. She became the Queen of the house and the Love of his life. Now reunited Rick & Fran.
Enrico is survived by a host of relatives and close friends who will be celebrating his life on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Services, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA with Pastor Jim Stone officiating. A reception to follow the services.
The family would like to thank the many neighbors and friends who helped Rick during his time of need. God Bless You All.
