Obituary of Erica Sinclair Ramos
Erica Sinclair Ramos, 40, of Stafford died unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2019 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Erica was born in Hollywood, California to Earnest and Fanny Sinclair. Having survived a tough childhood, she rose up to what would become the beginnings of a successful career in business and nursing. As a Marine Corps spouse, she educated and mentored young spouses, and service members aboard military instillations around the world, striving for improvements in quality of life, mental health, abuse prevention, and ending addiction. She worked with families of returning service members from Iraq and Afghanistan to ease transition and to identify the need for and to deploy resources as needed. Her call to service led her to the realization of a lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She was a staple in her community and her church, where she would often volunteer. Erica was a free spirit who loved adventure, loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed motorcycles, horseback riding, nature hikes, bicycling and Yoga. The most important aspect in Erica's life was her family. Her greatest love was being a dedicated mommy to her wonderful children, and a devout and loving wife to her beloved husband, Eric, who was her soulmate and best friend. Erica lived in service of others, for His glory. Her laughter and smile were infectious and would brighten up any room. Her light touched as far as the eye could see, making an impact on everyone she came across. She truly Lived Well, Laughed Often, and Loved Very Much. She was a special soul who will be utterly missed on this earth. She is survived by her husband, John Eric Ramos; her children, Alexander and Madelyn Ramos, and Andrew Saucedo. Erica has one sibling, Lawrence Sinclair of California. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fanny Sinclair, whom she prayed about and spoke to daily. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will have remarks in the chapel beginning at 6:30, followed by a pinning ceremony in honor of Erica's nursing achievements. A balloon release will take place at sunset. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Horizons Church in Stafford with a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall.
