Grandma you will be missed more than words could ever express. I want to thank you for everything you ever did for me. Everything you ever taught me and all the fun we had. I wish you eternal peace. Dear Grandma, I miss you and love you so much! I'm so proud to say you were " My Grandma!" Who was loving, caring supportive and so much more, a great mom to your 3 children who loved you so and to top it off was 103. How amazing! You made the days brighter and were such a blessing and a gift to us all! Don't worry about momma, I promise I will take care of her, as she did you!! With all my love until we meet again! ❤️

For Family and Friends unable to be present at Mom’s services, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, a eulogy was prepared by family members and presented by Pastor Emeritus Amos Healey of Wilderness Baptist Church.
Gladys was born on August 05, 1921, in Stafford County, VA.  Her Musselman and Gallahan family roots go back to the early 1700’s in Stafford County.  With family members buried at Ramoth Church and Ebenezer Church both in Stafford.
She was one of eight children, being the oldest daughter.
When she was about 14 years of age, she moved to the City of Fredericksburg, on Washington Avenue, to help her mother care for her sick Aunt.
At the age of 17 she met Chester Kelly, who was working in the area of  Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg with the CCC Corps building National Parks.  They married on December 29, 1938.  She then went on to finish High School, being active in girls’ sports, graduating from James Monroe High School in 1940.  Welcoming their first-born son, Darrell, on December 13, 1942.  
She had numerous jobs, in the field of Bookkeeping, in the area of Fredericksburg.  She retired from the Federal Government after 30+ years, retiring from Fort Belvoir.
In the early years, she attended Hillcrest Methodist Church and was active in the Church.  When the family expanded to three, Darrell, Diane, and Neal moved along with their parents to Hood Drive where she remained a resident and attended Eastland United Methodist Church where she met a group of senior ladies and formed a group called the “Golden Girls” who met for lunches and breakfasts, and gatherings until 2005 when she moved to Chester, VA to be closer to her daughter, Diane.
She & Diane had many trips with AARP.
She was a cancer survivor and had two heart stents.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, she did all that she could to offer counsel and encouragement to her family.
Mom, you will be missed.  Darrell, Diane and Neal.

Mrs. Gladys was a very pleasant lady with a beautiful smile and most of the time 
Diane was close by . My prayers are with the family as you cherish so many precious memories ,

She had a heart of gold and a warmth that touched everyone.  Her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on like a legacy of love that will always be with us.
She left beautiful memories, her love is still our guide although we cannot see her, she’s always by our side,
May that love surrounds us now and bring us peace during this difficult time and in the future.

My sincere condolences to the family. Death of a loved one is so painful. I wanted to share a comforting Bible Truth . John 5:28,29. Tells us about the hope for all who die. The Resurrection! On Earth! You have the hope of being reunited with your love one again on Earth! This is a real hope from the Bible . I pray this Bible Truth brings you some peace and comfort during this difficult time.
